Welcome to Llanbradach Youth FC
UNDER 14 Malmesbury Champions 2010!
Llanbradach Junior F.C was formed in 1986 by a few members of Llanbradach Social Club.
They started with one junior team and this has now grown to 5 junior teams and also a large mini football section.
I have personally been involved with the club since 1992. Over the years a lot of the junior players have gone on to play in the senior side in the village.
We also have juniors registered with the Cardiff City and Swansea City academies.
Robert Ernshaw, a Welsh international, played for our under 11s. Also David Watts represented Wales at under 17s.
There is a lot of football potential in Llanbradach and Pwllypant. What we need is the help and support of these communities to provide our young boys and girls with the facilities they need.
All the trainers are doing a fantastic job giving up their valuable time to coach all the teams, there is also room for more parents to help, either coaching or helping with sponsorship.
Bobby Cantello was asked by our twinning villages Plouberze / Servel in France if we would like to send an under 15s team to play them. We said ‘yes’ in 1997 and with the help of Mal Bateman and the committee the tour is going from strength to strength. It allows young boys to visit another country and sample their customs and traditions.
The aim for the club is to have its own clubhouse and facilities.
I am confident that the committee, parents and the people of Llanbradach and Pwllypant will eventually achieve their aim.
